Periodic Ponderings

Yea! I've updated this journal with some of my entries from over at LJ. They are all friends-locked, so you will need to be signed in to read the entries. I just need to protect the individuals who's identities have not already been masked. :-)

Yesterday, for the first time since the heat wave and drought began, it started to feel like hope was in the air. By hope, of course, I mean autumn. By autumn, I mean delicious-happy times of fabulous and joyous temperatures. I'm wearing a long sleaved t-shirt and a lightweight sweater today and it's perfect. I wish the world were always cooled to a perfect 65-70 degree state.

I cannot believe how many friends from my friends list already have journals over here! It's like moving to a new town and finding out that you already know 30 people there! But it's a good thing. A very good thing.

Alright. I feel slightly as if I am betraying the folks over at LiveJournal. As many have heard, there is a lot going on over there with folks having their journals eliminated d/t the presence of less than vanilla reading material and imagery. As some of the conversations between the administration and the artists began to remind me of V for Vendetta and our own government, I decided that I needed a back-up plan. Thus, this shadow journal has been created. It is almost like my live journal, but has been built as a "just in case" journal. I will also be making its presence less known to my family and work associates. Accordingly, its use for fan fiction and other kink should be more viable.
So, this is a work in progress. I'm currently in the midst of lots of RL busyness; I will strive to have this journal up and running as soon as possible.
